The Goal Find the One Thing Keeping You Stuck

Turn the fear underneath it into a roadmap for healthier love.

Core Promise

Leave With a Roadmap

By the end of this masterclass, you will uncover the one thing keeping you stuck, name the deeper fear underneath it, turn the opposite into your roadmap, and choose one new action toward safe, secure, healthy love.

Welcome + Set the Tone

This Is Not Men Versus Women

Dagmar and Gwen introduce themselves and set expectations.
This is about what men and women misunderstand in dating.
Men and women may protect themselves differently.
Those patterns can block healthy love.
Today they work on one thing, not everything.
Opening Script

“Tonight is about what men and women wish the other knew. Not so we can blame each other, but so we can understand each other better. Some people chase. Some shut down. Some overgive. Some avoid. Some attach too fast. Some act like they do not care. Tonight, we are going to find the one thing keeping you stuck and turn it into a roadmap for healthier love.”

What Men and Women Wish the Other Knew

More Honesty. Less Guessing.

Create fun, interaction, honesty, and curiosity while making hidden needs easier to see.

Breakout Exercise 1

What Do You Wish They Understood?

Prompt: What do you wish the opposite sex understood about dating you?

I do not want to chase. I want consistency, not confusion. I want respect, not tests. I also fear rejection. I need appreciation. I have standards. I get overwhelmed by pressure. I do not want to lose myself.
Breakout Exercise 2

What Signals Are You Sending?

Prompt: What signals do you think you give the opposite sex to understand you better?

Often what we call “mixed signals” are actually protection patterns.

The problem is not men versus women. The problem is protection patterns meeting unspoken needs.
The Three Ways We Block Healthy Love

Recognize the Pattern Behind the Behavior

01

Overfunctioning

“I will carry the connection. I will fix it. I will explain, plan, initiate, soften, adjust, and hold it together.”

Hidden fear: If I stop doing everything, love will disappear.
New truth: Healthy love does not require you to carry the whole relationship.
02

Overattaching

“I need to know where this is going now. I cannot relax until they choose me. I attach to potential and mistake anxiety for chemistry.”

Hidden fear: If I do not hold on, I will be abandoned.
New truth: You are afraid of uncertainty. Letting go of control is freeing.
03

Abandoning Yourself

“I will ignore what I need. I will pretend I am okay. I will accept less. I will become who they want.”

Hidden fear: If I am fully myself, I may not be chosen.
New truth: You get to choose who you want to be with, and that is empowering.
Dagmar • The One Thing Roadmap

Turn the Stuck Place Into Direction

This is the heart of the masterclass. Choose one thing and use it for the rest of the workshop.

1

Name the One Thing

Prompt: The one thing keeping me stuck is: ______

Examples: no partner, toxic partners, unavailable people, losing yourself, overthinking, chasing crumbs, low self-trust, body insecurity, fear of vulnerability, feeling behind.

2

What Feels Worse?

Prompt: What feels worse than that is: ______

Examples: wasting years, ignoring red flags, losing yourself again, never feeling chosen, settling, hiding because you do not feel good enough.

3

Name the Opposite

Prompt: The opposite of that is: ______

Examples: an emotionally available partner, self-trust, peace over chaos, being seen, safe and secure love.

4

Build the Roadmap

Prompt: Because I want ______, my roadmap is to learn how to ______.

Example: Because I want a safe, secure, loving partner, my roadmap is to learn how to choose emotionally safe people, recognize toxic patterns early, trust the evidence, and stop abandoning myself.

From Pattern Into Safety

Move from pattern awareness into trauma, grief, nervous system protection, and emotional safety without making the room feel too heavy.

“Now you have your One Thing Roadmap. You know the stuck place, the deeper fear, and the opposite you want to move toward. But some of these patterns do not just live in the mind. They live in the body. My work helps you see the pattern and choose a new response. Gwen’s work helps your body feel safe enough to practice that new response. So now we are going to look at why healthy love can still feel unsafe, even when you want it.”

Why Healthy Love Can Feel Unsafe

Help participants understand trauma, grief, nervous system protection, and emotional safety.

Why old hurt can make closeness feel dangerous.
Why the body protects even when the heart wants love.
Why people chase, shut down, numb, control, overwork, or avoid.
Why insight alone does not always change the response.
Why shame makes protection stronger.
Why safety has to come before openness.
Why deeper trauma or grief may need support.

Where Does This Pattern Live in My Body?

  • When I imagine having the love I want, what happens in my body?
  • When I imagine being seen, chosen, or vulnerable, what shows up?
  • Where do I feel the fear?
  • What is this part of me trying to protect?
  • What would this part need to feel safer?
  • What is one kind step I can take instead of closing, chasing, or disappearing?
Your body may be protecting you from the past, even when your heart wants a different future.

CLEAR Part 2: Choose From Truth, Not Fear

Bring participants back from safety into dating, discernment, and action.

E

Evaluate the Truth

  • What is actually true right now?
  • What is fear predicting?
  • What is the evidence showing?
  • Are their actions matching their words?
  • Am I choosing chemistry, attention, potential, or compatibility?
  • Do I feel more like myself around them?
  • Do they respect boundaries?
  • Am I overfunctioning, overattaching, or abandoning myself?

Fear predicts pain. Evidence reveals truth.

A

Aligned Action

Prompt: What action would move me toward the opposite of my fear?

  • Stop chasing inconsistency.
  • Ask direct questions earlier.
  • Write down the evidence before attaching.
  • Say what I need instead of pretending I am fine.
  • Keep my routines while dating.
  • Walk away when words and actions do not match.
  • Stop making potential more important than reality.
R

Reinforce

Prompt: When my old pattern wants me to ______, my new response will be ______.

  • Chase → pause and look at the evidence.
  • Overgive → ask if this is mutual.
  • Shut down → name one honest truth.
  • Settle → honor my needs.
